The Grand Canyon University Men’s Lacrosse team is ranked No. 21 in the latest Under Armour Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) Division I Coaches’ Poll. It’s a slide of just one spot from last week’s No. 20 position for GCU, and it’s the 79th consecutive time (dating back to Week 7 of the 2013 season) that the Lopes have graced the national rankings. The Lopes remain one of five SLC teams ranked in the MCLA Top 20 (Arizona State is 4th, Chapman is 5th, Concordia-Irvine is 9th, and Arizona is 12th).
After ending the home side of their schedule with a loss to No. 4 Arizona State last Friday night at GCU Stadium, the Lopes will finish off their entire regular season schedule tonight (Thursday) in the Silver State with a clash against University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Game time is scheduled for 7 pm. The Lopes will then find out their fate for playoff seeding and opponent for the 2019 Southwestern Lacrosse Conference Playoffs, which will begin on Saturday, April 20, later this week.
