The Grand Canyon University Men’s Lacrosse team is ranked No. 22 in the final Under Armour Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) Division I Coaches’ Poll.  It caps off the sixth straight year that the Lopes have been ranked in every one of the 12 polls of the season, and it’s the 81st consecutive time (dating back to Week 7 of the 2013 season) that GCU has earned a spot in the poll.  The Lopes reached as high as 9th in the poll this year.  The Lopes finish as one of five SLC teams ranked in the MCLA Top 20 (Chapman is 3rd, Arizona State is 8th, Concordia-Irvine is 11th, and Arizona is 17th).

The Lopes wound up their 2019 season splitting their two games at the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC) Championships.  The Lopes pulled off a first-round upset of higher-seeded Arizona in Tucson before succumbing to Chapman in the semifinals in Carlsbad, California, two weeks ago.  The Lopes finished the 2019 campaign with a 5-8 overall record.
