The Grand Canyon University men’s lacrosse team claimed the 2017 Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association Division I national championship by defeating Chapman 12-8 on May 13 in Orange, Calif. The Lopes won the final 13 games of their 16-1 season with a potent offense and a stingy defense.
