As a rapidly growing new team, GCU club swimming is the perfect place to build friendships and network with other students from across the country who share a passion for swimming. Members can participate in events, including the breaststroke, backstroke, freestyle, butterfly and individual medley. Club swimming already has participated in great events, including the Polar Bear Classic, Sun Devil Masters Invite Sprinters Spectacular and Arizona Masters SCY State Championship. Members may have the opportunity to compete in the U.S. Masters Swimming Spring National Championship in Riverside, Calif.

Jeremy Phung attended high school at a hometown college preparatory, Gilbert Classical Academy. He is a Grand Canyon University student whose major is exercise science with an emphasis in sports performance and a minor in athletic coaching. As a swimmer, Coach Phung was a three-year state champion in high school, serving as team captain as a senior. He also has experience swimming for the Rio Salado Swim Club and is a member of U.S. Masters, the national non-profit swimmers’ organization.
